GET WET!
Whales and dolphins and turtles, oh my! Have you ever snorkeled? If not, give it a try! It’s easy to do and you never know what beauty awaits you down below the warm shallow waters of Maui. Rent your gear from one of the many snorkel and dive shops and set off to see the amazing underwater life around Maui. Our favorite spots? Kaapalua Bay, Honolua Bay, Airport Beach, Black Rock and Mile Marker 14. These are great spots for beginners and seasoned snorkelers alike. Although these spots are only minutes away, you may chose to snorkel right at Paki Maui and view the beautiful tropical fish and sea life in these protected waters.
For a full day of fun, you may choose to take a snorkeling trip on one of the local excursion boats that will take you to more beautiful snorkeling and dive spots. Molokini, Lana’i or Molokai are some of their destinations where you may see whales (during season – December - April), dolphin and the Giant Green Sea Turtles. Most boats provide lessons for beginners, gear and wonderful food and beverage. A special way to spend your day!

Some of our favorite spots include The Hula Grill in Whalers Village, The Plantation at Kaapalua Bay golf Course, Moose McGillycuddy's & Kimos in downtown Lahaina. Just across the street is Okazuya Deli – definitely our #1 favorite takeout. Just place your order, bring your food back to your lanai and relax while you are watching a glorious Maui sunset.
